Não há um acontecimento surpreendente no longa que empolgasse, às cenas de ação são pouco criativas e inspiradores, e grande parte dos momentos do filme são previsíveis. A parte dramática do longa foi bem trabalhada e pensada, mas, ao mesmo tempo, faltou explorar melhor a origem do vírus. Com isso, a franquia tem o seu desfecho com conteúdo incompleto.
